How item progression works in KuroMS: weapons, armor, accessories, projectiles, new equipment slots, custom item sets and where to look up every item from level 1 to level 300.

Item progression

Item Progression has always been a core fundamental of the classic game and plays a major role in KuroMS. Acquiring new items should feel rewarding for the effort that players invest, so we've added and reworked a large amount of items for player progression.

Throughout your adventure then you will find an abundance of items through hunting mobs, crafting with Maker along with Bossing Expeditions.

In the typical classic game of this era, item progression would generally look like: Level 10 > Level 35 > Level 43 > Level 50 > Level 64 > Level 80 > Level 100 > Level 120. In KuroMS, there are a whole lot more items to help players constantly progress all the way from level 1 to level 300.

New equipment slots

We have also created many new item slots such as Shoulderpads, Pocket Slots, Emblems, Gems, Titles, Badges, Totems and Android.

Weapon progression

Weapons are one of the most important parts of item progression. To make gearing feel more satisfying and meaningful, we added a lot more variety to weapons and carefully adjusted the stats on almost every weapon we added, plus many regular ones too.

Weapon multipliers adjusted: Swords, Spears and Staffs now lean more into single-target DPS. Blunt Weapons, Axes and Wands are stronger at multi-target damage and mobbing.

Maker skill improvements: Weapon Stimulators no longer have a chance to destroy your weapon, and Black Crystals now only grant positive stats. A new special Enhancing Crystal will be unlocked later on.

Armor and set progression

Like weapons, there are many new armor options and categories to collect and progress through. Higher-level armors come with both Weapon Attack and Magic Attack, which makes them worth investing in. We also highly recommend using the Maker skill with Strengthened Crystals to create powerful, perfect sets.

Arrows, bullets and stars

Many arrows and bullets were changed to match throwing stars, and all three now drop across the regions. A 10 attack bullet or a 0 attack arrow never felt good, so they now start at 15 attack. Arrows are also rechargeable now.
