All from the widget. WHAT IS THE BOSS EXPEDITION SYSTEM? The Boss Expedition system is Kuro's built-in recruitment and tracking layer for major boss runs. No more spamming smega or FM chat for hours looking for one more member. Use the F9 widget to browse or create boss recruitments Leaders post a run, set level range, member cap, description, and preferred jobs Applicants apply directly through the widget Leaders review applications and accept or reject players Leaders launch the run straight from the widget During the run, the widget shows live boss damage rankings Important to understand: The recruitment system is a finder and handoff tool. The actual boss run still uses the normal expedition NPC flow after the handoff - the widget gets you to the door, the NPC still opens it. ↑ Back to top HOW TO OPEN IT Press F9 to open the widget (or any other key you configured for it) Or open the in-game shortcut popup and press Item - this jumps straight into the expedition area From there you can: Browse Recruitments - See all active postings Create Recruitment - Post your own My Recruitments - Manage your posting View live expedition damage rankings while inside a run Auto-Refresh Behavior The recruitment list auto-refreshes every ~5 seconds Open recruitment detail panels auto-refresh every ~2 seconds ↑ Back to top SUPPORTED BOSSES These bosses are currently wired into the recruitment handoff system: Zakum - Min Lv 50, Daily Limit 2 Horntail - Min Lv 100, Daily Limit 1 Pink Bean - Min Lv 120, Daily Limit 1 Von Leon - Min Lv 120, Daily Limit 1 Scarlion / Targa - Min Lv 100, Daily Limit 1 Papulatus - Min Lv 1, Daily Limit 2 Castellan Toad - Min Lv 120, Daily Limit 1 All of these have a max roster cap of 30 (except Papulatus which caps at 6). The leader can choose a lower cap for the recruitment, but cannot go above the boss cap. The chosen member cap includes the leader. ↑ Back to top CREATING A RECRUITMENT To create a recruitment, the leader must: Not already have another active recruitment posting Not already be inside an expedition Still have remaining daily clears for that boss When you create a recruitment, you set: Boss type Minimum level Maximum level Member cap Description Preferred jobs Good to Know The leader is automatically counted as an accepted member Preferred jobs are advisory only - not a hard server requirement Postings may trigger a Discord notification if that integration is enabled Recruitments expire after 30 minutes ↑ Back to top APPLYING TO A RECRUITMENT You can apply if all of these are true: The posting is still open Your level is inside the posting's range You have not already applied to that posting You are not already accepted in that posting You are not the leader You still have remaining daily attempts for that boss What the Leader Sees on Your Application Character name Level and Job HP / MP Your DPS stat (from the DPS tracker, peak DPS recorded) Successful completion count for that expedition type Current daily attempts used / max allowed You will get a success message when your application goes through, then an acceptance or rejection message later. Heads Up There is currently no withdraw button for applicants. Once you apply, you are in the queue until the leader responds or the posting closes. ↑ Back to top WHAT EVERYONE SEES Open Recruitment List Recruitment ID Boss type Leader name Level range Current / max members Description Creation time Recruitment Detail View Leaders - See the full application list with statuses (pending, accepted, rejected) Non-leaders - Only see accepted members ↑ Back to top ACCEPTING, REJECTING, AND FILLING When a leader accepts someone, the applicant gets an acceptance message. If the leader already has a party, the system can auto-send a party invite When a leader rejects someone, the applicant gets a rejection message When the recruitment reaches its cap , the posting closes automatically, remaining pending applications are marked rejected, and the posting disappears from the open list Important Limitation The current flow does not have a remove / unaccept action for already-accepted members. Leaders should only accept players who are actually ready to go right now. If you accept someone and they vanish, you may need to cancel the whole posting and recreate it. ↑ Back to top WHAT "START EXPEDITION" ACTUALLY DOES When the leader hits Start Expedition, the server: Checks that the leader owns that recruitment Checks that the leader still has boss attempts left Checks that every accepted member is still online Checks that every accepted member is on the same channel as the leader Rechecks each accepted member's daily attempt availability Creates the expedition with the leader as captain Starts the normal expedition registration window Teleports the leader and accepted members to the boss entrance area What It Does NOT Do It does not auto-complete the boss lobby for you It does not automatically add every accepted player into the final expedition roster It does not bypass the normal expedition NPC rules The Real Flow Recruitment start → teleport to boss entrance → finish normal expedition registration through the boss NPC This is the most important thing to understand about the whole system. ↑ Back to top THE REAL START RULES STILL MATTER After the recruitment handoff, the normal expedition system is still in charge. The boss lobby can still care about: The boss's real minimum player requirement Household / same-session restrictions Remaining boss attempts The registration timer ( 5 minutes ) An accepted player is not fully guaranteed in yet - they can still fail the real NPC registration step if expedition-side rules reject them. Critical Gotcha An accepted player who goes offline or switches channels can block the recruitment start . Since there is no remove-accepted action yet, the leader may need to cancel and recreate the posting if the roster goes bad. ↑ Back to top RANKINGS There are two different "ranking" ideas in this system. Live Expedition Damage Rankings While inside an active expedition fighting tracked bosses, the widget shows: Expedition type Player count Total damage dealt Elapsed duration Up to 30 ranked damage entries Each player's damage share as a percentage of total damage These are live and run-specific. The rankings window may keep showing your previous run's results until new expedition data replaces them. Historical Stats (Used By Recruitment) The system also tracks completion history behind the scenes. What is actually shown to players right now: Completion count for the relevant expedition A DPS stat on the application entry A full expedition reputation leaderboard is not currently exposed as a public player-facing screen. ↑ Back to top DAILY ATTEMPT TRACKING The expedition system tracks your daily boss entries server-side. Useful Commands @expedstatus @expstatus @expeditionstatus These show how many daily attempts you have left. Current Daily Limits Zakum - 2 Horntail - 1 Pink Bean - 1 Von Leon - 1 Scarlion / Targa - 1 Papulatus - 2 Castellan Toad - 1 Reset Timing Daily attempts reset at 00:00 Asia/Tokyo server time . Chaos Sharing Caveats Chaos Zakum and regular Zakum block each other once the shared Zakum space is consumed Chaos Horntail and regular Horntail share the same daily slot Chaos Pink Bean and regular Pink Bean share the same daily slot Even if you are recruiting the regular version, a chaos clear can still affect eligibility. ↑ Back to top CURRENT WIDGET QUIRKS These are client-side things to be aware of, separate from the server's real rules. The Create Menu Shows More Than It Fully Supports The current create dropdown includes some types like Chaos Pink Bean and Cygnus that are not fully wired into the recruitment-start teleport handoff the same way as the main supported bosses. Stick to the bosses listed in the supported section above for the cleanest experience. Solo-Capable Bosses Are Stricter in the UI The widget create flow enforces at least 2 max members in the UI, and the Start Expedition button also waits for at least 2 visible members. This means bosses that can normally solo (Papulatus, Castellan Toad) are stricter through the widget than through normal NPC entry. Widget Error Feedback Can Be Weak The server sends recruitment errors and success packets, but the current client UI does not always surface them clearly. If something seems stuck: Re-open the recruitment window Check your channel Verify your boss attempt limit again Check chat / system messages for the real error ↑ Back to top PRACTICAL TIPS Do not treat an acceptance as the final start - you still need to finish the real boss lobby flow Stay on the same channel as the leader before they press Start Expedition Be ready immediately when accepted - offline accepted members stall the start Leaders, keep the accepted list tight - accepted players cannot currently be removed one by one Full postings close automatically even before the actual boss run starts Postings expire after 30 minutes - do not leave them sitting Preferred job tags are just preferences - level range is the actual hard gate ↑ Back to top SHORT VERSION (TL;DR) Open the widget with F9 (or your configured key) Apply to the boss recruitment you want Wait for the leader to accept you Stay online and on the leader's channel When the leader starts, you get moved to the real boss entrance Finish the normal NPC expedition registration there Use the widget during the run to watch live damage rankings ↑ Back to top Good luck in your runs! Happy Mapling! ~ Kuro
