KURO BETA PATCH NOTES - MAY 3, 2026

Launch date locked. Major class balance pass. New endgame expedition. Server stability fixes. LAUNCH DATE Kuro launches in the first half of July 2026. Exact day and time will be announced in the coming weeks. Beta Phase 2 continues straight through to launch. NEW CONTENT Chaos Papulatus Expedition A new endgame expedition has arrived in Ludibrium. Gather a team, descend into the Chaos Dimension, and take down Papulatus's chaotic counterpart. Party size: 6 players, level 200 required Entry: new NPC at the Papulatus entrance in Ludibrium Time limit: 55 minutes Death cap: 6 total party deaths fails the run Daily limits: 2 attempts, 1 clear per day Two-phase fight: Phase 1 — Chaos Papulatus Clock (55B HP) Phase 2 — Chaos Papulatus (35B HP). Key-mob waves spawn at 100%, 70%, 45%, and 10% HP thresholds (up to 110 keys at once at low health) Rewards (per clear): 350,000,000 EXP to every player Final phase kill drops: Purification Totem — 4 stacks, 35–55 each Perfect Pitch — 12–20 3 random level 120 Royal Von Leon equips from the pool below Boss VP coins The Chaos Papulatus expedition and its sister boss Castellan Toad now show in the in-game widget — see remaining attempts in the daily login tracker (Toad: 1/day green, C.Pap: 2/day purple) and on the Progress tab (CT and CPap columns) Royal Von Leon Equipment Pool (Level 120) 3 random items drop per clear from this 41-item pool. Stats are randomized within the level 120 RVL range. Previously the quest silently completed but gave nothing Adobis Eye of Fire trade (El Nath): no longer eats your Zombie's Lost Gold Teeth when your ETC inventory is full. The NPC now tells you to make room first before consuming materials Gachapon Regular, Silver, and Gold Gachapon tickets are no longer wasted when one of the possible reward inventory tabs is full. The machine now pre-checks and refuses the roll, telling you which tab to clear Tutorial Prompts Cygnus Knights and Aran characters no longer get told to "talk to Sera in Amherst" on first login. That prompt is now Explorer-only — other classes correctly start in their own tutorial Daily Login Daily login tracking is much more resistant to "you already claimed today" desyncs caused by switching IPs, characters on the same account, or HWIDs Alts and multi-network logins no longer accidentally lock out claims Widget now shows which day you're on in the 14-day cycle Guild Storage Widget Item lists and quantities no longer render as garbage or stay frozen on a "loading" spinner due to mis-aligned response payloads Switching between guild storage and other storage panels no longer leaves the widget stuck on loading Client Stability Equipment tooltips that reference the "growth disabled" UI element no longer crash the client when the asset is missing Stale UI lookups (nametag pieces, map timer, growth-disabled tooltip) no longer trigger noisy missing-resource errors during slow renders SKILL CHANGES Every skill whose intended max buff duration is 300 seconds now properly scales up to and lasts the full 300 seconds at max level. Previously duration was clipped before reaching the cap, leading to noticeably shorter uptime than the tooltip suggested No tooltip text changes needed — purely the underlying duration value matching what the skill data already advertised MAGES Arch Mage Ultimates Reworked Affects Meteor Shower (F/P), Blizzard (I/L), and Genesis (Bishop) Mob cap: 10 → 12 Base damage: up roughly +50% Meteor Shower / Blizzard max-level: 600% → 900% Genesis max-level: 700% → 1050% Level 1 of each: 300% → 450% New damage falloff: targets 1–3 full damage, 4–6 at 80%, 7–12 at 70% Native Multi-Target Spells These spells now hit multiple enemies natively with proper damage numbers showing on each target. Fire Arrow (F/P Wizard): up to 3 enemies Fire Arrow (Blaze Wizard): up to 3 enemies Holy Arrow (Cleric): up to 3 enemies Thunder Spear (I/L Wizard): up to 3 enemies Paralyze (F/P Arch Mage): up to 6 enemies in a wide forward arc with paralyze status applied to all of them. Per-line damage rebalanced for multi-target output: 2 lines (lvl 1–10), 3 lines (lvl 11–20), 4 lines (lvl 21–30) Slow Replaced with Elemental Reset (F/P & I/L Wizards) The second-job Slow debuff is gone Both Wizards now learn Elemental Reset — the same self-buff Blaze Wizard and Evan use, which nullifies your magic's elemental attribute so you hit elemental-resistant monsters at full damage Existing characters with SP in Slow get a full SP refund on next login. The old skill is removed from the skillbook You can now also assign SP into Elemental Reset on second-job F/P and I/L Wizards (was previously greyed out by the client) Ice Demon Master Level Repair (I/L Arch Mage) If your Ice Demon was stuck at master level 0 (preventing further SP investment), login now auto-restores master level to at least 10 Skill level and expiration are preserved ARCHERS Ranger — Arrow Rain Rebuilt Levels 1–14: 2 hits, 70% → 96% damage Levels 15–29: 3 hits, 98% → 126% damage Level 30 (max): 150% damage / 3 hits / up to 6 enemies (was 140% / 2 hits) Bowmaster Dragon's Breath: tooltip corrected (now reads "Damage %" instead of "attack %") and properly shows 2 hits at level 1–20, 3 hits at level 21–30. Max-level: 240% / 3 hits / up to 6 enemies Hurricane: tooltip damage values were displayed at half their real value — now corrected. Real max-level damage is 180% Hurricane: fixed a rare case where a held key registered as 0 damage on the server Wind Archer Wind Eyes attack bonus: +50 → +40 Physical Attack (party buff). Critical chance and crit-damage scaling unchanged Wind Eyes now stacks correctly with Hero Rage, Enrage, and item attack potions (yellow cider etc.) Lower buffs from other players no longer strip Wind Eyes from you Right-click cancel works cleanly The alternate Wind Eyes tooltip (was mislabeled "Sharp Eyes") now correctly identifies the skill Song of Heaven (held ranged attack) now fires correctly — the keydown state machine, animation, and projectile spawning all behave like Hurricane should. Holding the key works as expected; cancel/keyup no longer breaks WARRIORS Dawn Warrior — Soul Driver Animation ~33% faster (90ms → 60ms per frame) Recovery shortened (270ms → 180ms) Significantly higher sustained DPS Hold-to-cast: hold the hotkey to auto-repeat the skill (~620ms cadence). Tap-style players unaffected ITEM FIXES Elemental Wand & Staff — Element Modifiers Removed Elemental Wand 1–8 and Elemental Stave 1–8 previously had their off-element penalty active but were missing the matching same-element bonus — causing them to underperform Maple Shine Wand on every fight Rather than re-enable the bonus side, both the elemental bonus and the elemental penalty have been removed entirely . Elemental wands and staves now deal flat damage regardless of the target's element Net effect: their higher base INT and Magic Attack stats finally translate into actual damage. They now scale ahead of Maple Shine Wand on every target, with no element-specific edge cases MAP & MOB BALANCE Lion King's Castle (LHC) — Easier Avoidability reduced by 40% across every LHC mob. More of your hits land — significantly faster grinding, especially for classes with marginal accuracy Crocky, Reindeer, Blood Reindeer, Boar, Rhino, Tower/Prison Ani: avoid 97 → 58 Bearwolf, Grey Vulture, Castle Golem, Third Tower Ani: avoid 115 → 69 EVENTS KuroQuiz — Fixed Schedule + Discord Integration KuroQuiz now runs on a fixed daily schedule instead of being part of the random rotation: 6 times a day, server time: 1:30, 5:30, 9:30, 13:30, 17:30, 21:30 @joinevent now actually joins KuroQuiz when sign-ups are open Discord announcement fires 15 minutes before each quiz starts, updates live as people join, and posts an end-of-quiz embed with the participant count SERVER STABILITY Disconnect-save reliability improved — fewer cases of "logged out and lost my last few minutes of progress" caused by autosave and emergency-save stepping on each other Cleaner reconnects through proxy fronts — fixes a class of stuck "ghost session" bugs Error code -2147287038 (Unknown error 0x80030002): significantly reduced, but not fully eliminated .
