KURO BETA PHASE 2 IS LIVE - APRIL 29, 2026

BETA PHASE 2 WIPE & REWARDS The server has been wiped to launch Beta Phase 2. Your account is safe - characters, inventory, pets, and guilds have been reset for a fresh start. Carryover NX is granted automatically on your first login, capped at 10,000 NX Credit per account. Vote Points were converted at 1 VP = 1,000 NX in the snapshot. A welcome popup greets returning players with a recap of what they're owed. Beta Pet - Anyone who reached level 75+ during Beta Phase 1 picks one pet from KIN in the Free Market: Cloud Candy, Salmon Sushi, or Meerkat Mob. Alpha Tester Bonus Pet - Original alpha testers get a second pick from KIN: Mossy Candy or Pinkie Candy. All rewards are account-bound, so alts cannot double-dip. The selectable beta and alpha pets have also been pulled from the regular pet gachapon pool to keep them exclusive. DONATIONS - BETA BONUS ACTIVE The donation page is live: https://playkuro.com/donate During Beta Phase 2, every donation tier grants +25% bonus Maple Points. The bonus ends at launch and will not return. All purchased Maple Points carry over to launch automatically. Whether they are spent during Beta or saved, the original purchased amount is preserved on your account at launch. Donations are purely cosmetic - Maple Points for the cash shop and an optional name tag color/effect. No advantages over other players. LEVELING Level cap raised to 300. You can keep climbing well past 200 with a proper EXP curve all the way to the top. Post-200 EXP rebalanced. The old jagged wall around level 254 has been removed. Progression now scales smoothly from level 201 onward, with the early post-200 levels noticeably more reachable and the climb growing gradually instead of in sudden cliffs. HP and MP now grow properly when leveling past 200. Hyper-leveled characters will see their max HP/MP tick up on every new level. SKILL & COMBAT TUNING HERO Brandish - Hitbox is now more forgiving in both reach and vertical range, with more leniency on monster position. Far fewer "ghost misses" on mobs that drift mid-swing. Rush - Level 1 Rush now executes instantly. No attack delay, no distance check. A level 1 Rush is finally a usable baseline movement skill. WIND ARCHER Song of Heaven - Completely rewired. The skill now behaves as a proper hold-to-fire channel, identical in feel to Bowmaster Hurricane. Hold the key to keep the volley going; release it to cleanly cancel the buff and stop the animation, with everything synced for nearby players. No more stuck animations or one-shot bursts when channeling was intended. NIGHT LORD Triple Throw - Damage increased at higher skill levels. At max level, Triple Throw now deals 200% damage per star, up from 180%. Triple Throw still throws 3 stars per use. Single-target damage output has been improved overall. PERFORMANCE General latency has been improved across combat, movement, and busy maps. Crowded fights and big boss rooms should feel noticeably snappier. MOB INFO WIDGET (OVERHAUL) The mob info panel has been redesigned from the ground up. A search bar at the top lets you quickly filter the mob list by name. The mob list now uses level badges for at-a-glance reading, with tighter, easier-to-scan rows. A stat strip shows HP, MP, EXP, and level as colored chips. The drop table uses visual percentage bars so rare drops jump out at a glance. Mob icons that don't have a direct ID match now fall back to a name + level lookup, so far fewer mobs show the generic placeholder icon. QUALITY OF LIFE Welcome Messages & First Login New characters now get a single, branded welcome broadcast: "Say hi to , the newest adventurer in KuroMS!" - no more duplicate yellow-tip + chat spam. The KuroMS welcome line and tutorial pointer to Sera in Amherst are reliably shown to brand-new level 1 characters once, at the right moment. The legacy "Welcome to MapleStory" string has been cleaned up so only the KuroMS branding shows on login. Quick Slots & Macros Macro quick-slot row fix. The bottom row of the expanded quick-slot bar was defaulting to duplicated bindings that fought with the top row and broke saved macros. The defaults are now a clean spread, so your macros land where you'd expect. Chat & UI Smart skill-cooldown messages. Spammy "skill not ready" lines are now suppressed automatically for short cooldowns (under 5 seconds), so fast-cycling skills no longer flood your chat. Toggleable in the chat config. Set effect tooltips now flip to the left of the item tooltip if there isn't room on the right - no more tooltips falling off the edge of the screen when you hover over equips near the border. The chat window no longer drifts between sessions. It only saves a new position when you actually drag it, so automatic edge-clamping won't overwrite where you put it. Auto-login + character switch is fixed - the widget overlay now rebinds correctly when you change characters or relog through the launcher, no client restart needed. STABILITY Various crash points have been fixed. UPDATE NOTES Download / Patch: https://playkuro.com/download Please patch using the launcher before logging in.
