Bucc needs even more love than Corsair.

1000 word essay incoming So I was a bucc main in Maplesea then Royals then Dream and Aeon. I’ve tried to stay away from bucc to try other jobs but somehow I always find my way back here and oh boy, I realised how much it needed to change to keep up with the changes to the other classes in Kuro. Why is a strong bucc needed for a healthy and high variety server? Because it unlocks the fun for many other classes such as all archers except BM, all warriors and Corsair. I’ve played old servers where their bucc was shit and it was always NL BM story. 1st job Somersault kick is supposed to hit 6 targets. But its horizontal range is 81 pixels!!! If I didnt remember wrongly slash blast is 125 or 150 range isn’t it? This should qualify for being the shortest skill range in the whole game. I have Never hit 6 targets in my life using somesault. Max 2-3. And now that I see kuro will be giving thieves and mages a mobbing skill in first job, I’d like to request for Somersault to become 200 pixels horizontal range instead. TB too pls. 2nd job Increase max HP should be a 1 point skill. The ramp up for bucc/tb is really slow. you have to do 10 points into HP up, then 5 points into mastery then another 5 to booster for basics before you can finally learn your main attacking skill. Technically speaking, backspin blow and double uppercut are iFrame skills that I used in maplesea. Back then life was tough. We used these 2 skills to save mesos on pots. In private servers, I’ve never touched these skills anymore since its high meso and speed training. But I do foresee them used in Magnus to dodge the undodgeable meteors. TLDR. Don’t need to waste time rebuilding these skills. They do their iFrame job well at base. We dont care about the damage of these skills. By 2nd job, I really hope I dont need to Somersault anymore. Now to the true Main training skill of Bucc 2nd job. Corkscrew blow . I don’t know what happened to it for its damage to be sooo low, but it was supposed to be at 420% 3 targets in vanilla. Buffing it to 6 targets would be perfect for training or 5 targets with longer range. Currently it’s 200 pixels. Mayb 300 pixels will be more suitable. or is it possible to not change the push range but increase the damage application range instead to be closer to TB. Why did vanilla maple have it at 420%? Because of the heavy delay this skill has. So 420% damage is actually normal to balance out the DPM. Please do not remove or shorten the delay, skilled buccs use it a lot in HT to dodge certain skills or climb platforms safely. 3rd Job This is the absolute worst for buccs. There are so many classes that have 1 main skill that max out at lvl 80 and they are ready to go with 100% uptime. But buccs either have to max energy charge then energy blast for a skill that only has 70% uptime or max transformation then shockwave to once again get a main skill with 50% uptime. What? Credits to shart and hozlocoz for this idea. I quote “i think tb should lean into the energy system, since shark already looks energy ish. bucc should lean into rushes (2nd job), kicks(1st) and punches (4th) more” And I agree. Make energy charge 30 levels but not important for 3rd job. Will still be needed for 4th job but we can learn it much later in 3rd job. Energy charge should charge faster at ST bossing scenarios. Think the other servers made it such that ST hits counts more for charge or something. Our conditional stance depends on this. Make the WA bonus from charge stack with other buffs like how rage/concentrate works. Make transformation a 1 level skill with same CD as Super trans. 10 sec. So on to our 3rd job main attacking skill. Shockwave is a headache. I’ve watched many owners of other servers struggle to try and fix this skill and fail but I think kuro will be able to pull this off. Current range is 330 pixels. I think would be good at 450 range with better vertical range. Reduce animation speed greatly. When i walk and cast this skill, the skill takes so long to land that by the time it lands the whole range of the skill is already behind my body. Another big problem that aeon managed to fix was shockwave gets cut off and interrupted by ledges and ramps. So if it is not a flat map, I can’t even use this skill. They made it go through obstacles and uneven platforms. 4th job Barrage is unused for damage as well so no point buffing it. Usable to dodge zakum 1/1 sometimes. Could just revert to 230% and buff other mobbing skills instead. Super trans to be a 10 level skill. This 1 unlocks very powerful skills so i understand not having it as a 1 level skill. I just don’t like the idea that I need to learn conditional skills to unlock the main skill when everyone else just learn the main skill itself. Or we could make the skills not need Super trans to cast. But super trans in itself will give the current buffs it gives so that we can learn trans later for the speed and jump buffs. Dragon strike needs A lot of help . Take a look at these DPM tests with self buff. Bucc DS 12142920 Corsair torpedo 22882192 BM DB 18528380 MM piercing 21900392 WA spiral vort 27745486 After the Demolition nerf, bucc is no longer Top 1 ST DPS. In that case, could we at least ensure its mobbing is not that far off from other classes? Would already be happy if it could match BM DB. But overall 4th job doesn’t have much other issues for me to point out. On a side note can we make disassembling timeless equipment return us 1 ROT?
