Thief Testing feedback (Game Feel and Functionality)

KuroMS Suggestions discussion with 3 posts about Thief Testing feedback (Game Feel and Functionality).
Hello! My name is Nex. The thieves steal the show this time! This is somewhat lengthy so I have a TL:DR section at the bottom. Links to other Classes Warriors Mages Archers Pirates Disclaimer: This is not a damage comparison (mostly), rather this is a testing of how each thief feels to play and making sure their skills work. Now I'm just one guy with opinions so take these with a grain of salt. Feel free to tell me if I'm wrong and or offer suggestions of your own! Rogue/Night Walker 1st Lucky 7 is strong as usual. Double stab being able to hit up to 3 enemies is great. The range is extremely tiny though. Maybe consider giving it some additional reach? **Edit** Lucky 7 hitting 3 enemies now is a huge training buff, however double stab now seems totally useless by comparison and hurts Bandit/Chief Bandit/Shadower even more. Assassin/Hermit/Nightlord Crit throw strong as usual. 2 line avenger feels great, skill description needs tweaking since it says it hits 2 lines before it actually does. My fps also seems to tank a little when using it. Shadow Partner feels very strong. Flash Jump works fine, being able to double tap jump for it would be nice QoL. Shadow meso is working fine. Meso up seems to be fine. Alchemist seems to be working fine. Triple Throw feels good. Taunt seems to be working fine. Shadow Stars seems to be working fine. Ninja Storm is a nice rush option. Bandit/Chief Bandit/Shadower Savage Blow seems fine. Band of Thieves works fine. However it is entirely outclassed by shadow partner avenger almost comically. Could definitely use some buffs in range/damage etc. Assaulter works, being able to use it without a target would be a nice QoL. Meso Explosion works fine, can still use it for high level training if you're fine with the large cost. Meso Guard is great and seems to be working fine. Chakra works but isn't particularly useful. Assassinate probably needs a skill description tweak. The %'s displayed are much lower than what's actually happening. Also the extra hits feel nice. I always been a fan of the charge mechanic even if it's not ultimately useful. Smoke is great as usual. Boomerang step changes are great. However it can't be used in midair. Nightwalker Vampire is great for training especially if you got stats and gear for it. However like with avenger my fps takes a noticeable hit whenever I use it. I do like that vanish lets you use skills out of dark sight but the design philosophy behind it I'm not a fan of. I think nerfing the damage and making it passive would feel a lot better. Poison bomb can be used to high level train but seems much less effective than the other high training enabling skills like poison mist. Doesn't bother me personally. Quintuple star feels fantastic. Showdown is a very cool skill, but unless I'm missing something, it's very weak damage wise and is certainly not hitting 800%. Same thing for Dark Omen as well. Avenger does much more damage than both. Shadow Kunai works but isn't consuming stars, not sure if that's intended. Common Thief skills Haste buff is great. Dark Sight works fine, being able to use skills out of it would be a nice QoL. Disorder seems to be triggering a black screen with a claw equipped. Shadow Shifter seems to be working fine. Venom seems to work fine. Ninja Ambush seems to be working. TL:DR Section Nightlord I don't feel like much needs to change here. However I notice my fps takes a significant dip when using avenger on 6 enemies and an even harsher dip if used along with shadow partner. Might just be my outdated machine though. Shadower Double stab could use some range. Band of thieves needs help, damage and range. Boomerang Step can't be used in midair. Assault usable without targets would be nice. Skills usable out of Darksight would help the class feel a lot better with bstep-nate macros. Nightwalker Maybe make vanish damage passive and nerf for balance. Showdown and Dark Omen need some damage. Shadow Kunai not consuming stars. FPS dips when using vampire. Closing thoughts The thieves feel how I expect them to generally. However Shadower is a pretty big outlier in that it feels significantly worse than the other 2 in pretty much every way. Especially in leveling up/training. Thank you for your time and consideration!

I recently started my first char in the current beta, and wanted to share some insights playing Bandit. Overall, the journey feels kinda slow compared to other classes. While Warriors and Archers feel well-balanced in terms of mobbing and Mages are even better (well, that's their thing), Bandits feel like they're falling behind in 2nd and 3rd job mobbing. 1st & 2nd Job: The change to Double Stab letting it hit multiple mobs at short range is awesome, and it's basically your main mobbing tool early on. Savage Blow is also in a really good spot for single-target damage. However, now that Assassins have multi-hit on Lucky Seven, they actually end up with better mobbing than Bandits. I totally agree with the Assassins Luck Seven change but then they outshine bandits even more. 3rd Job (Chief Bandit): This is where things get really slow and awkward. Band of Thieves at max level deals the same damage as Double Stab, just with more range. It feels incredibly weak, especially when Hermit's Avenger out-damages it by a mile. It needs some love, maybe not an extra line of damage, but definitely a raw damage buff so it synergizes better with Pickpocket. Meso Explosion & Pickpocket: ME does great damage, but relying on monster drops makes the gameplay loop feel clunky. Having to disable auto-pickup leaves the map cluttered with items that eventually despawn (I haven't checked if we can set to only grab items and ignore mesos yet). Dropping your own mesos to explode them doesn't feel like a fun or viable farming style to me either. Plus, because Chief Bandit's skills do low damage right now, Pickpocket only drops tiny meso amounts, making the results negligible for farming. I haven't made it to Shadower yet, and I assume things balance out late game. I love how unique the Bandit class is, and I really hope it gets some minor tweaks so it can keep up with the other classes.
